- Meeting with clients and sales engineers to discuss project automation needs.
- Working with service technicians to test automated systems for efficiency, safety, and reliability.
- Designing PLC and HMI programs to industry standards.
- Pre-commissioning of control panels before they go out into the field.
- Documenting development processes.
- Providing clients with technical support.
- Troubleshooting system while providing customers with remote support.
- Research and Development of new systems and staying up to date on technological needs for manufacturers.
- An associate degree in electrical automation or 4 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Proficient at ladder logic and function block style programming.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and mechanical processes.
- Experience with AutoCAD software is a plus.
- Experience with Studio 5000, Machine Expert (or Codesys variant), TIA Portal, Do-more C-more software is a plus.
