    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) with OR experience required and proficiency in complex orthopedic and spine imaging for a night shift weekend contract.

    Responsibilities

    • Hospital-based X-Ray unit within an academic medical center
    • Patient population includes all ages, with Level 1 trauma experience preferred
    • Complex case experience required, including femur and tibia nails, pelvis, and advanced spine imaging
    • 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
    • Schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (weekends required)
    • On-call is required with a 1-hour response time
    • Perform intraoperative and general diagnostic X-Ray imaging, including complex orthopedic and advanced spinal procedures
    • Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
    • Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
    • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
    • Clean licensure history required — any licensure hits will result in disqualification

    Requirements

    • Active ARRT certification required
    • BLS certification required
    • Kentucky KBMIRT license required; pending license is acceptable but must be obtained prior to start date
    • License required if applicable
    • Minimum experience in OR, ER, and port procedures required
    • Experience with complex orthopedic cases such as femur and tibia nails, pelvis procedures, and advanced spine imaging required
    • Level 1 trauma experience of all ages preferred
    • 2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
