Job summary
The Bereavement Counselor provides a range of bereavement services to bereaved survivors.The role involves providing individual and group counseling and therapy for Hospice patients, family members, and community individuals who have experienced the loss of a significant person through grief. The counselor must demonstrate contact with all clients within established time frames, provide appropriate documentation, and manage tasks and case loads effectively. Additionally, they must communicate professionally with other departmental counselors, members of the Interdisciplinary Team, organization staff, and external customers.
