- Take charge of shift production
- Plan production operations, set priorities, and sequence manufacturing processes
- Develop operational schedules and coordinate activities to meet product quality standards
- Create shop schedules and oversee project completion
- Monitor performance and progress
- Adjust schedules/personnel to expedite work
- Ensure shift employees are prepared with assignments and tools before starting
- Provide technical support to maintain efficiency
- Make technical decisions to sustain production
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Document technical notes
- Reassign employees to maintain workflow
- Accountable for safety, production goals, and quality
- Adhere to safety regulations for smooth operations
- Ensure completion of all necessary documentation
- Maintain communication between shifts
- Ensure team meets daily production goals
- Communicate departmental objectives effectively
- Handle performance improvement/disciplinary actions
- Assist with employee coaching/development
- Support organizational goals and add value to job accomplishments
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Participate in HR functions for hiring and problem resolution
- Perform assigned duties and projects
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of trade school or apprenticeship
- Experience in CNC machine shops, specifically with metals
- 5+ years of CNC machining supervision in a build-to-order manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in Manufacturing
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP system and databases
- Associate's Degree in engineering, business, or relevant field
- Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year
