    General Summary of Duties:


    The Marketing Manager will support the marketing department and help to oversee the brand experience across all digital, social and traditional marketing channels.

    They will assist in driving the brand and hotel story through a variety of creative channels, including social media, special programming and events, local communications, PR-related initiatives and on-property collateral.

    They will help build and execute marketing plans and targeted campaigns to drive consumer awareness and brand preference, increasing market share, and building broader portfolio and brand awareness.

    This role focuses on highlighting food and beverage promotions, both to hotel guests and to local patrons, as well as spa, retail and hotel rooms promotions.

    They will have a strong aesthetic opinion and understand how to eloquently communicate, both visually and verbally, "approachable luxury" while emphasizing property value propositions across all forms of communication to build awareness and customer loyalty.

    The Marketing Manager will have a desire to possess an in-depth understanding of the target customer demographic and business needs.

    They will develop, coordinate, execute, and maintain a heightened social media strategy that exemplifies the uniqueness of the property.

    Their execution of marketing initiatives, in partnership with corporate support, will speak to their target market and meet them on their preferred digital platforms to achieve company goals.

    They will have a keen understanding of the importance of digital marketing, marketing analytics tracking, and on-going optimizations when working through, and managing, support agencies, partners, and local systems.

    They will plan, coordinate, communicate, and execute hotel activations and special partnership events.

    The Marketing Manager will act as the JW Marriott Nashville agency liaison and on-property representative for marketing and public relations-related tactics.

    Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):

    Hotel Marketing and Advertising

    Execute annual marketing plan to budget, in consultation with category leaders, external agencies and Area Director of Marketing
    Partner with operations, food & beverage, sales, spa and retail teams to execute promotions and campaigns to target in-house guests and locals that drive incremental revenue to the hotel
    Act as the liaison between the marketing department and digital advertising agency on the tactical advertising campaign creative and media plans
    Coordinate / organize calendar for all promotions, advertising, digital content
    Work with digital agency and Director of Marketing to executes e-mail marketing and display advertising
    Verify all advertising for the hotel in digital channels is in alignment with brand voice
    Assist with photo shoots, on-site activations and events on and off-property
    Assist with website updates and content development
    Accountable for execution of digital marketing initiatives in coordination with third party support
    Provide insight and support to third party digital marketing firm and Marketing Director on SEO / SEM strategies
    Design and format marketing collateral / materials including, but not limited to, brochures, proposals, menus, flyers, newsletters, event invitations, advertisements, posters, digital banners, website graphics
    Social Media Content Management

    Facilitate social media engagement and updating content via digital channels (e.g., hotel website, travel sites, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
    Develop and execute promotions campaign in food and beverage, weddings, spa, rooms and conferences through relevant digital and social media channels
    Engage in proactive online reputation management by surfacing relevant guest comments
    (positive or negative) on social media channels and responds accordingly
    Public Relations and Visual Asset Management

    Assist Area Director of Marketing and PR agency in developing an annual, comprehensive hotel PR plan
    Maintain a comprehensive list of local media contacts
    Write / copyedit / proof all press releases and pitches for property events, promotions, and outlets
    Manage the execution of hotel-sponsored events, community relations activities, and press promotional activities
    Verify the news clippings and other online, print, and social media mention report is completed on a monthly basis for property distribution
    Vet PR leads, including digital influencers, from the PR agency and make suggestions regarding best media opportunities to Area Director of Marketing
    Manage coordination of photo shoots and photography contracts
    Direct Marketing and Collateral Development

    Coordinate and execute hotel printed marketing materials
    Control quantity and inventory of all hotel marketing collateral
    Assist in the production of all property signage
    Verify all collateral is as per brand standard guidelines and in compliance
    General

    Assist and manage the development, coordination and execution of all communications activities
    Help with the publication of hotel's newsletter(s)
    Support communications duties and functions as deemed necessary
    Coordinate with property eCommerce and Revenue Management teams to report success of property marketing and eCommerce performance
    Keep abreast of competition and its collateral, advertising, and marketing efforts and constantly evolving digital and marketing trends
    Provide marketing reports on a weekly / monthly basis based on objectives
    Perform additional duties and projects as assigned

    Position Requirements:
    Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
    Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
    Superior verbal and written communication skills
    Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Dreamweaver, Lightroom)
    Basic knowledge of HTML coding and working with email programs
    Experience in photography / photo editing
    Experience with social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Google, Snapchat required
    Knowledge of SEO / SEM a plus
    Strong planning, organizational and time management skills
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    Ability to multitask and take direction under deadline

    Education:

    4-year bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business, or related major
