    ProCare Therapy is searching for a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for The Hope Academy near Barrington, RI for the school year. If you are a compassionate and experienced SPED teacher looking to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special needs, we encourage you to apply.

    Job Details:

    • Position: Special Education Teacher
    • Location: Barrington, RI
    • Hours:30-40hours per week

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in the following preferred:
    • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Special Education
    • Rhode Island SPED Teaching Certification
    • Previous experience in a SPED role is preferred
    • Familiar with IEP's and EDP's

    Responsibilities:

    • 7/8 inclusion and grade K-8 severe needs case manager - not a self contained program.
    • Caseload for inclusion is 10-15 kids and for severe needs case manager.
    • Teach, work with students, paraprofessionals, families, other staff, take data.
    • Update IEP goals, assess students and write up the assessment report.
    • Write IEPs, attend IEP meetings, present the assessment results.
