    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    As the Tech Lifestyle Management, Sr Consultant you will work as an individual contributor with various technology areas to coordinate activities to remediate legacy (N-1, N-2, etc.) technologies and those presenting security vulnerabilities. Engages cross functional teams of technology subject matters experts (SMEs) to understand the current state of technology platforms and to identify, monitor, and escalate risks pertaining to end-of-support and end-of-life (EOS & EOL). You will be accountable for overseeing projects that are of high priority, visibility and/or complexity while ensuring efforts within this space are defined, tracked, and communicated in a consistent and effective manner aligned to company standards. This role will have significant influence in defining the company's technology lifecycle management processes and governance frameworks through various digital transformations.

    This remote role may be based within the continental US; however, preference would be for candidates to be located within Central or East coast time zones.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

    • Partners with various technology areas to ensure a comprehensive list of technology attributes are identified, monitored, and updated regularly.
    • Collaborates with and coordinates efforts for various technology teams to ensure technical needs are being addressed and that EOS and EOL risks are mitigated.
    • Drives and monitors statuses for any EOS and EOL technologies that are being coordinated/actioned for remediation.
    • Leads technology lifecycle governance meetings to drive leadership and SME consensus regarding resource prioritization, capacity planning, and risk mitigation strategies.
    • Proactively and effectively communicate issues with upcoming EOS and EOL technologies and provide transparency to these items at C-suite and senior leadership levels.
    • Works with various technology businesses and technical leaders to understand business operations and technology requirements in order to provide appropriate support. May make recommendations to improve processes and standards.
    • Assists in scoping projects related to EOS and EOL technologies and continues to monitors progress to mitigate lifecycle risks.
    • Clearly and concisely socializes EOS and EOL mitigation plans and ensures buy-in from various technology areas.
    • Prepares and presents content at steering committee meetings to ensure technology leadership and delivery teams are aligned and prepared to participate in lifecycle management activities.
    • Manages and maintains comprehensive project plans and artifacts to ensure alignment with risk management activities defined by technology governance standards.
    • Maintains, socializes, and enforces CNA governance standards. Participates in improving the overall delivery model through consistent feedback loop and information sharing.
    • Exhibits and promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing; shares industry best practices and adopts an Agile mindset to address problems or concerns related to technology lifecycle activities.
    May perform additional duties as assigned.

    Reporting Relationship

    Typically Director or above

    Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
    • Proven experience with Project Management, Business Analytics and Reporting, Information Systems, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.), ServiceNow platforms, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) and other business-related software systems.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently to achieve team goals and stakeholder requirements.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, clients, Technology management, and be an effective member of cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to contextualize complex information, processes, and data into easily understandable concepts that senior leaders and C-Suite executives across various technology departments will use.
    • Requires strong diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others. Explains complex information and works to build consensus among peers with different sets of knowledge, skills, and priorities.
    • Knowledge of Technology and Operations processes such as IT Asset Management, Agile Project Management, and Information Security frameworks coupled with a good understanding of assigned business areas/portfolios.
    • Ability to make tactical decisions and provide input and recommendations related to project approaches and execution.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to conceptualize strategic processes. Requires strong problem-solving and analysis skills with innovative thinking.
    Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or similar education in a related discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analysis, or equivalent work experience.
    • Knowledge in areas such as IT Asset Management, IT Risk Management, IT Service Management, process improvement, and/or Lean-Agile is desired.
    • Typically a minimum of five years of work experience in various areas of Information Technology, Asset Management, Risk Management, or similar.
    • Experience with project / program management methodologies or digital transformation processes is desired.
    • Familiarity with technology lifecycle phases and product timelines/engineering horizons (n-x, EOS, EOL,). Knowledge of digital transformation concepts are preferred as to assist various technology portfolios align with CNA's technology standards and strategic vision.
