- Analysis and design of structural systems and components
- Analysis and design of bridges with varying sizes and scope (e.g. new design, load ratings, repairs, multiple/varying construction materials, rail industry, highway, etc.)
- Develop and review plans, details, calculations, and specifications appropriate to construct or fabricate systems to transmit structural loads
- Direct Engineers-in-Training and technicians in the preparations of proper documentation
- Site observations and inspection of bridge construction projects
- Site inspections and structural condition assessments of existing bridge structures
- Working with clients to develop and/or maintain bridge management programs
- Preparation of reports and oral presentations for both internal and client use
- Maintain budget and deadlines to client satisfaction
- Work within multi-disciplinary teams in varying roles
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineering license
- Five or more years of post-graduate experience in bridge design and inspection for highway or railway infrastructure
- Knowledge of advanced structural engineering principles and practices applied to project design and construction
- Professionally dedicated to delivering high-quality, well-organized documents to clients
- Detailed understanding of wood, steel, and concrete bridge systems
- Proficient in relevant structural engineering software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, Robot Structural Analysis, Bluebeam, Navisworks, AASHTOWARE, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and regulations including AASHTO and/or AREMA
- Familiarity with historic bridge structures, design approaches, and construction techniques
- Familiarity with DOT and/or Class I Railway standards, methods, and bridge program formats.
- Ability to effectively and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and clients
- Ability to travel throughout the U.S.A. (Anticipated travel not to exceed 25%)

Summary:

Compensation for this position will include a base salary range of $75,000 – $125,000 /year. Conditional offers will be based on the candidate's education, experience, technical skill, and other considerations.
