    Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.

    Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

    Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.

    Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.

    Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques. Provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

    Palmdale, CA

    Requires someone to come into the office, cannot accommodate a hybrid/telecommute schedule.


    Basic Qualifications:
    Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree and 5 years of experience, 3 years with master's degree; 0 Years with PHD

    Ability to read and interpret engineering requirements and specifications

    Exposure to 3D model-based definition and CAD

    Experience creating work instructions and visual aids

    Ability to work in a team-oriented environment to problem solve and address issues during support of manufacturing statement of work

    Active in-scope DOD secret clearance that has been granted/ renewed within the past 5 years

    Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

    Previous experience working with Manufacturing or Operations Support

    Current Special Program Access

    Experience creating procedures or process manuals

    Experience in computer assisted design software (CATIA preferred)


    Salary Range:
    $97,500 - $146,300


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

    In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
