Summary: Responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for a General Practice setting in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations and the nursing standards of care (assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Evaluation of patients.
Work with program physician in performing physicals, interpreting lab results and getting medical advice concerning client medical treatment. Make appropriate referrals.
Medication management and education
Chart review and maintenance.
Attend all required administrative meetings and educational meetings.
Attend supervision sessions as delineated by supervising physician.
Communicate with supervisors and staff concerning lab results or medical information, as well as follow up for re-tests or medical visits.
Act as consultant for clinical staff with the outside medical community dealing with clients as necessary.
Consult with directors, supervisors and program staff as necessary and appropriate.
Complete all other paperwork and reporting as directed by Supervisor.
Required to possess and maintain CPR/First Aid certificate of training, or obtain it within six months of hire.
Attend all training events.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
A Board-Certified graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
A Master's degree in Nursing (ARNP program).
Current/valid State of Florida Licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
A minimum of one year of relevant experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write and speak in English and Spanish required.
