Smead Capital Management is accepting applications for an Associate – Sales (Internal Wholesaler).


Job Summary:

In partnership with regional vice presidents, and with a global remit, the associate will maintain and cultivate relationships with financial advisors in the US and with private banks, family offices and wealth managers in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

The position's primary responsibilities are to provide support in the development of new business, maintain existing relationships, respond to requests, and resolve account issues and inquiries from existing and prospective clients regarding Smead's mutual funds, UCITS fund and separately managed accounts.

The role will be based in our Jersey City, NJ office.


Responsibilities:

Uncover sales opportunities through proactive outbound phone calls to prospects within multiple regions

(Europe, Middle East, Asia and a portion of the United States).

Develop and implement a sales plan to meet specific territory and firm goals.

Provide general sales support while working closely with the Vice President - Sales to identify prospective clients, schedule meetings, prepare presentations, and follow up on advisor interactions.

Ability to converse knowledgeably with financial advisors and other key personnel about investment solutions and current economic and market conditions.

Maintain the contact management database.

Manage and maintain relationships with fund data management platforms.

Source, build and maintain up-to-date contact lists across distribution channels and regions/countries.

Assist in onboarding of fund on investment platforms.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

1-3 years working experience with financial intermediary clients

Fluent in French, Spanish and English

Communicate effectively with colleagues, financial advisors, and investors verbally and in writing

Series 7, 63, and either 65/66 required
