    Purpose of Position:
    Plans, prepares, and provides detailed planning and schedules for maintenance activities to improve plant overall productivity, efficiency, and cost.


    Key Job Functions:
    Maintains and initiates improvements in SAP PM system.

    Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment when planning critical work orders.

    Obtains quotes, enters PRs and performs follow-up for material and equipment required for maintenance.


    Establishes and maintains a system for proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment of pre-work and parts for pending work.


    Creates maintenance schedules; lead morning department meeting and review new work orders, costs, rentals and next day plans; establishes work sequences and lead time to complete major inspections and repairs.


    Review, revise and develop job plan, routes and preventive/predictive maintenance frequencies for Mechanical department based on resource availability and/or cause analyses in order to realize the 13 week cycle of planning.


    Confers with department Supervisors to determine status of assigned projects and identifies operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

    Responsible for facility maintenance services, including roofs, boilers, concrete paving, etc.

    Prepares Capital Project Funding Requests including technical and financial justifications.

    Serves as an internal auditor for ISO & safety audits, as required.

    Other duties as assigned.


    Qualifications:
    Two year college or technical school; plus one to two years related experience or equivalent.

    Two years experience at a heavy industrial plant within the maintenance department.

    Prior experience working in a maintenance planner role preferred.
