    About the Job:

    The Director of the Outpatient Services provides the leadership and strategic planning of the outpatient programs offered at the facility including the direction, management and supervision of day-to-day operations of the clinical programming and the clinical staff for the partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program, ensuring programs meet the patient needs, the facility's performance goals and objectives, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include outpatient program development, family programing, oversight of the outpatient therapists, integrative therapies and patient engagement.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    · Provides initial treatment planning for patient based on assessment and coordinates any additional services needed and revises as necessary.

    · Directs and oversees program operations, including budget management, developing marketing and strategic plans and independent decision making for program requiring clinical expertise. Develops, plans and implements program goals, objectives, staff, resources and equipment.

    · Ensures that all clinical programming, staffing, and documentation is in accordance with facility policies and procedures and regulatory agencies. Ensures that all programming is clinically relevant and appropriate to patient needs. Ensures that discharge plans and after-care for patients are arranged and appropriate.

    · Develops and implements quality programming. Provides support and instruction as needed to direct care staff to ensure they adequately understand the treatment program and service delivery expectations to patients based on the patients' individual treatment plans and clinical needs.

    · Leads a team of highly engaged members thru hiring, orienting, performance assessment and management, motivating, training, scheduling, and coaching to meet department goals and ensure effective and efficient department operation.

    · Ensures all clinical staff conduct individual, group or family therapy sessions as appropriate for treatment plan of the patient, and collateral contacts and document all contacts in the medical record. Monitors and reviews discharge plans and after-care for patients by the clinical staff.

    · Reviews and audits charts for documentation – both quality and completeness.

    · Provides support to clinical staff for treatment plans, treatment interventions for appropriateness. May provide case management, discharge planning or aftercare according to treatment plan.

    · Provides clinical consultation, oversight of case planning and care coordination.

    · Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.

    · Provides onsite coverage for other programs when needed, develops and executes new programs according to market needs and may provide training, case consultation and on call coverage during and after program hours as needed.

    · Ensures procedures and workflow are consistent with organizational objectives, treatment protocols, regulations and standards of care.

    · Participates in treatment team meetings and collaborates with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate to their treatment plan.

    · Responsible for a limited caseload as needed.

    · Maintains relationships with providers who are partners for follow-up care.

    · May coordinate various clinical, psychosocial or educational activities with patients and their families.

    · Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or other recognized therapeutic field from an accredited college or university.

    · Four or more years' experience working as a therapist with the specific population of the facility.

    · Particular skills in therapy and assessment, considerable knowledge of social work principles and practice, social health and welfare programs and laws governing eligibility for these programs; regulatory standards.

    · Professional clinical license issued by the appropriate licensing body as required by the state.

    · CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

    · Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing or other recognized therapeutic field from an accredited college or university.

    · Four or more years' experience working as a therapist with the specific population of the facility.

    · Particular skills in therapy and assessment, considerable knowledge of social work principles and practice, social health and welfare programs and laws governing eligibility for these programs; regulatory standards.
