    Description

    In this position you will collaborate with a Team of Network Professionals and serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist for IT Network Infrastructure, responsible for the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, configuration, installation, implementation and integration of networked systems used for the transmission of information in data, voice and/or video formats.

    Typical work assignments include:
    Responsible for the analysis and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative data as it relates to auditing IT projects.
    Identifies, verifies, and assesses causes and methods for resolution of IT critical problems, or impediments affecting the IT program/projects.

    Analyzes and monitors IT program and resource use to identify actual or potential problems, trends and deficiency situations or areas of imbalance that affect IT program/project performance.

    Plans and coordinates development, consolidation, review and approval of IT programs and budgets to support IT projects, programs, and systems in the assigned program area.

    Prepares charts, summaries and narratives which provide the basis for reporting on IT program/project performance.
    Provides progress reports concerning assigned IT programs/projects to the senior management officials and representatives of other commands and agencies.


    Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.

    A.

    Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level II (FAC P/PM-II) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.

    B. Information Assurance Management Level III (IAM-III) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.


    Recruitment Incentive - Selectee(s) for this position who are newly appointed to a permanent position are authorized to receive a one-time recruitment incentive of 10% of the salary, including locality for this position.

    Receipt of the bonus will require a 12-month service agreement.

    "Newly appointed" refers to the first appointment (regardless of tenure) as an employee of the Federal Government, an appointment following a break in service of at least 90 days from a previous appointment as an employee of the Federal Government, or, in certain cases, an appointment following a break in service of less than 90 days from a previous appointment as an employee of the Federal Government.


    Relocation Incentive - Selectee(s) for this position who are current federal employees on permanent appointments and will be moving outside of the current commuting area of their current position to accept this position are authorized to receive a one-time relocation of 10% of the salary including locality for this position.

    Receipt of the bonus will require a 12-month service agreement. The employee must establish a residence in the new geographic area prior to payment.


    Student Loan – Selectee(s) for this position who are newly appointed to a permanent or term position may be eligible for student loan repayment up to $10,000 (pre-tax) for one calendar year.

    More than one loan may be repaid if the combined repayments do not exceed $10,000. Receipt of this incentive will require a three-year service agreement.
