Description
Business Justification Project Manager with IT infrastructure projects background is needed to coordinate and oversee T&I S-Level work including PSCO, new construction, and other SBU driven T&I work at operating sites.
This is a hybrid assignment, including primarily remote work, but also potential travel to each of the sites, as needed.
The candidate should be located within the COMPANY service territory and within driving distance of COMPANY sites.Role summary:
This project manager will report to the T&I PMO and will oversee the technology implementation for 10 or more COMPANY sites across the service territory.
The project manager will coordinate work between COMPANY Technology and Innovation (traditionally known as IT) and COMPANY Facilities Management.
The scope of this work includes activities to support upgrades to existing sites, new sites at existing COMPANY locations, and the construction of sites at brand new COMPANY locations.
NERC and Sensitive clearances may be needed.The Project Manager will be responsible for:
Having prerequisite knowledge of IT network technologies (WAN/LAN - wired and wireless), telephony services, video conferencing, cabling, server infrastructure and server room configuration, and equipment installation.
Leading the project Joint Project Team technical SMEs in developing a complete and accurate scope statement, work activities, and schedule and cost estimates for the project(s).
Discerning whether scope and schedule activities in the T&I project(s) have been adequately identified, including properly sequenced predecessors and successor activities, based on input from the JPT SMEs and technical leads and prerequisite knowledge.
Working with other project managers to ensure cross-project dependences between T&I projects and COMPANY Facilities Management projects have been identified and are synchronized and monitored across the project schedules on an ongoing basis.
Maintaining awareness within the JPT regarding:
o the types of hardware that are tracked in T&I's Configuration Management Database (CMDB) o T&I's processes for updating its for hardware assets installed or retired by the project.
Ensuring Requirements are defined and documented in the approved Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), including hardware and site-specific software requirements for each location.
Ensuring all activities on the Greenfield Checklist (to be provided) have been completed as required and identifying new checklist items are incorporated into the list, as needed, based on discovery and lessons learned during the project.
The candidate will work closely with COMPANY T&I's Regional Field services and Networking personnel to plan and execute work.Any required site visits at an operating facility (non-Corporate) will be coordinated through COMPANY T&I's Regional Field services.
