    Description

    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    Responsible for assembling electrical equipment, especially overhead cranes. Reads and interprets instructions, assembles parts and tools, and fits electronic components together.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Work safely and responsibly in an industrial environment by following all OSHA and internal safety regulations
    • Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports
    • Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling
    • Use best practices to meet production schedules and quality assurance standards
    • Inspect wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits
    • Assemble electrical or electronic systems and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings using appropriate equipment
    • Adjust or repair electrical equipment
    • Test products to ensure they meet specifications
    • Assemble products such as electrical panels, electronic motor control devices, and sensing equipment
    • Fabricate or modify parts as needed
    • Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications
    • Perform other assigned duties

    Education

    A high school diploma or GED is preferred; vocational school or military experience is a bonus

    Experience & Skills:

    • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment required; experience in overhead crane electrical and lifting industry is a plus
    • Experience with three phase motor controls and variable frequency drives is highly desirable
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to lift and operate heavy electrical machinery
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination
    • Proficiency in operating electrical meters
    • Ability to create and interpret technical documentation
    • Basic computer skills including email, record keeping, and inventory management
    • Willingness to work flexible shifts
    • Must be capable of lifting or pulling at least 50 pounds
    • Successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and E-verify
