Description

Dodge Construction Network is on the lookout for a Director of Research and Consulting Services to spearhead impactful consulting and market research initiatives tailored for clients in the construction sector, including leading Fortune 500 building product manufacturers. In this senior leadership position, you will oversee teams, manage complex consulting projects, and be instrumental in developing and launching innovative research and consulting products. This role requires close collaboration with executive clients, internal research leaders, and cross-functional teams to convert data and analyses into actionable insights that shape strategies, investments, and market approaches.

This position reports directly to the Vice President, Research.

Work Arrangement

This role is designed to be remote and home-office based. Candidates located in the continental United States are encouraged to apply, particularly those in Eastern or Central time zones.

Travel Expectations

Travel is estimated to be up to 20% for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Consulting Leadership & Client Delivery

• Lead comprehensive delivery of consulting projects for C-suite and senior executives, encompassing project scoping, analysis, synthesis, and presentation of findings.
• Steer projects that involve market sizing and forecasting, customer needs assessment, product optimization, and strategic implementation support.
• Act as a senior advisor, translating complex data into straightforward, actionable recommendations.
• Maintain exceptional quality standards, ensuring consistency and high client satisfaction across all engagements.

People Management & Team Development

• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and consultants, promoting both technical excellence and career growth.
• Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and facilitate career advancement for team members.
• Create scalable processes and best practices to bolster a growing consulting organization.

Product & Capability Development

• Collaborate with leadership to conceptualize, design, and launch new market research and consulting product offerings.
• Help shape methodologies, value propositions, and delivery models for new insights products.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of existing offerings guided by client feedback and market demand.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to fortify business development efforts and convey the value of insights offerings.
• Assist in proposal creation, thought leadership, and client presentations as necessary.

Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.

Essential Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• Over 12 years of strategic operations and client project management experience.
• Established record in leading consulting projects, such as market sizing, customer analysis, product strategy, and implementation support.
• Proven success in managing and developing early- to mid-career professionals.
• Experience in developing and introducing new products or service offerings within a market research, consulting, or insights framework.
• Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with C-suite audiences.
• Strategic mindset able to balance analytical precision with practical business impact.

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

• Experience in the construction, building products, or related industrial markets.
• Background in management consulting, market research, or strategy-focused environments.
• Familiarity with data-driven insights platforms and syndicated research products.
