Security Supervisor / Armed Special Police Officer

Position Details

  • Location: Washington, D.C. 20032

  • Pay Rate: $32–$34 per hour

  • Schedule: Thursday–Sunday

  • Hours: 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM (10-hour shifts / 40 hours per week)

  • Position Type: Full-Time

  • Positions Available: 1

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe and report to deter unwanted or suspicious behavior

  • Supervise a team of five (5) security officers

  • Ensure company policies and post orders are followed

  • Maintain scheduling for multiple locations within the same contract

  • Operate a company vehicle as required

  • Document incidents and activities clearly and accurately throughout the shift

  • Respond to emergencies and contact Emergency Services when necessary

  • Address and support client staff security needs

  • Work closely with a dispatch center and execute dispatch instructions

Basic Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR at least 5 years of verifiable work experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Special Police Officer

  • Must possess and maintain an active Armed Special Police Officer License

  • Must be at least 21 years of age for armed positions

  • Valid driver's license required

  • Ability to operate radios, telephones, and monitoring equipment

Conditions of Employment

  • Must pass a background investigation and drug screening in accordance with all applicable laws

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and local regulations and must be maintained throughout employment
