    The

    Business Development Manager


    will work within a geographic area generating new business and growing existing relationships and accounts with current and previous clients.

    This is a sales role that is very technical in nature which will require knowledge of our products, methods, and selling to contractors.

    The incumbent should bring high energy, solid presentations skills and internal drive. Interstate travel required.


    CANDIDATES MUST RESIDE IN TEXAS

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (WITH OR WITHOUT ACCOMMODATIONS):
    Expectation of travel to Texas, OK, LA, AK for customer/sales visits

    Drive pipeline growth and obtain favorable project design and specification through owner/engineer/contractor interface, technical presentations, and providing value as a subject matter expert.

    Identify market opportunities while building relationships with key stakeholders as a valued partner and industry expert, leveraging knowledge while providing technical support and guidance.

    Proactive planning, owning, and executing the competitive bid strategy and process, while leveraging internal and external relationships in the pursuit of a favorable outcome.

    Disciplined CRM utilization to ensure activities and opportunities are entered, updated, and managed to support process flow and provide historical data.

    Possess and maintain thorough knowledge of key markets with respect to products, pricing, opportunities, and strategy.
    Any other duties as assigned


    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Minimum (3) years of experience in water infrastructure, utility construction, pipe manufacturing/sales, and/or building materials.
    Experience as a project manager, estimator, or project engineer as a contractor in comparable projects/markets preferred but not required.
    Bachelor's degree in related field.

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, with the experience and ability to effectively build relationships and provide expertise in support of opportunities.

    Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
    Proficiency using a CRM or related database.
    Previous experience in pipe, water, or water management infrastructure.
