    How you'll contribute:

    Customers rely on our dependable Wegmans Pharmacy professionals to manage their well-being and that of their loved ones. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial part in cultivating that trust by delivering top-notch service that distinguishes Wegmans and guarantees customers receive the medical attention and care they trust us for.     Responsibilities include:

    • Processing prescription requests while establishing trusted customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion
    • Resolving rejected insurance claims and handling issues to secure the best outcome for customers
    • Adhering to department protocols and procedures to input data, dispense medication, and validate information
    • Assisting with tasks to ensure departmental efficiency, managing appropriate inventory levels through ordering, and organizing and stocking drugs and supplies
    • Safely managing products, utilizing equipment, maintaining accurate records, and following sanitation guidelines

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency with computers
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations for data entry and prescription filling with precision
    • State-specific – might require Pharmacy Technician certification
    • In New Jersey, applicants need to be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience in product orders and inventory management
    • Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification

    Please note: In some states where we operate, Pharmacy Technicians need certification and/or state registration. In such cases, Wegmans may onboard individuals before they attain the necessary qualifications, while guiding them through the process. In select locations, Board-Certified Pharmacy Technicians will receive a $0.50/hour shift differential.
