Job summary
The Receiver is responsible for ensuring the proper receiving of DSD product by following Food Lion policies and procedures. They must maintain standards in accordance with the standard practice manual, maximize sales through excellent customer service, and minimize shrink through proper utilization of standard practice.Responsibilities include maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness, providing fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience,
Courteous and helpful to other associates
Protect company assets through the proper and accurate receipt and return of DSD product
Demonstrate and execute proper vendor receiving policies established by Food Lion
Work with vendors to resolve vendor errors, policy violations or excessive inventory etc,
Work with the Assistant Store Manager to ensure timely promotions by all vendors
Ensure weekly merchandising notes are implemented timely
Verify that DSD plan-o-grams are accurate
