  • Position is located at Dog Biscuits, 10:00a-6:00p, days/hours may vary. A negative drug screen is required as a condition of employment.

    The purpose of this position is to develop, secure and ensure delivery of educational/vocational supports responsive to the personal goals, preferences and needs of adults with developmental disabilities; supervise delivery of those supports and promote positive staff relations and teamwork through effective leadership, communication and staff development.

    Minimum Required Criteria: One year of experience in direct care.

    Preferred Criteria:

    Previous experience, education or knowledge in the following areas: supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, providing person-directed supports and training, developing and implementing data-based instruction programs. Supervisory or participatory management experience. Needs specific to the residents to be supported, such as working with individuals who are sexual offenders, dually diagnosed or who need extensive physical health and communication supports.

    Staff who operates a motor vehicle must possess a valid Kansas driver's license.

    Positions in this class require that at the time of appointment the selected candidate must take and pass a drug screening test approved by the Division of Personnel Services. Persons hired must also pass a law enforcement security clearance in compliance with policies of the Department of Aging and DisabilityServices.
