    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.

    The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Position Summary


    The School of Nursing is looking to hire three (3) Student Research Workers to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator's program of research focusing on improving memory and brain function in older adults with kidney disease.

    Responsibilities


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting with recruitment and clinic interaction
    • Supporting with data collection, cleaning, and preparation;
    • Assist with statistical analysis of research data;
    • Support with manuscript preparation and submission, including conducting literature searches, manuscript writing and manuscript submissions;
    • Assisting with administrative tasks as assigned;
    • Attending all research-related meetings;
    • Working closely with sites and study personnel and;
    • Performing other duties as assigned.
    This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is based on the availability of funding.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • Requires a bachelor's degree and must be a currently enrolled Columbia student.
    Preferred Qualifications


    • Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with common statistics software.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team.
    • Previous research experience is desired.
    • Statistical and database management experience desired.
    • At least one year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience.
    • Ability to make a 1-year commitment
    • Experience with neurocognition and exercise
