- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, or Control Engineering
- 3+ years of technical experience
- Programming experience (PLC programming, C#, Python, HTML/JavaScript, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with highly automated equipment technologies (press/torque, robots, automated axis systems, vision systems, and feeding systems)
- Experience with data analytics tools (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS)
- Experience utilizing problem-solving techniques to solve complex manufacturing issues (Six Sigma, Shainin, 5 whys)
- Ability to read and define electric drawings, pneumatic, and hydraulic plans
- Project leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize workloads to meet established targets
- Capacity to work on cross-function teams with a high degree of self-initiative
- Ability to travel (including internationally) for training, projects, and IPN activities
- Experience in high-volume/technology manufacturing processes within the automotive industry
- Support the modification and troubleshooting of existing software applications and PLC programs
- Perform investigations, trials, and improvements in manufacturing processes
- Set up machines and devices to prepare investigations
- Create and maintain manufacturing and training documentation (process control documentation, standard work instructions, etc.)
- Mentor hourly skilled associates in the proactive maintenance of assigned processes, including the development of qualification cards and other training material
- Support and perform PPAP activities related to assigned processes
- Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes to meet Policy Deployment objectives
- Actively participate in the daily management of the area using Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other analytics and data to meet targets and derive measures to improve performance continuously

Job DescriptionMAU is hiring a Controls Engineer at Robert Bosch in Charleston, SC. As a Controls Engineer, you will support and drive the performance of complex, automated pneumatic function test systems. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

The Bosch plant has manufactured high-quality automotive products at the Charleston, SC facility for over 30 years. Our associates will run state-of-the-art automatic production equipment and technology in a clean, climate-controlled environment.
