Position Overview

Trim and remove trees, eliminate unwanted, diseased, or dying tree limbs, ensuring tree health and safety in the surrounding areas by carrying out the following tasks.

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

Embark on tree climbing adventures! (Yes, we'll compensate you for that.)
Work as part of a tree crew, acquiring new skills progressively
Master the art of tree pruning and removal services, ensuring client safety and satisfaction. This includes but is not limited to:
Identifying tree species and adhering to industry pruning standards
Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood from the tree canopy
Learning to set up cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems
Assisting in the removal of hazardous trees
Maintaining, preparing, and operating tools and equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

Passion for outdoor activities
Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon recruitment
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon recruitment
Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certifications, if mandated by state regulations
