Job summary
The Environmental Specialist position will be responsible for enforcing federal, state and local regulations governing solid waste and air quality. The role involves routine inspections of regulated facilities, investigating complaints from the public, negotiating plans of action for abatement of violations and carrying out enforcement actions. The employee will also interact with other government agencies, professional organizations and community groups to promote best management practices.- Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulations;
