- Analysis and input of data from personnel transactional forms to the SUNY systems which includes, NYSTEP, Payserv and SUNYHR, complete and process HR personnel forms, setting up new records, perform changes on existing records, verify and recalculate data, etc. Generate and compare HR reports to detect and reconcile HR discrepancies. Assisting with ethics compliance.
- Communicate and provide customer service to all SUNY Poly staff on personnel related transactions, generate letters to employees confirming execution of personnel transactions. Prepare analysis of regular personnel transactions and prepare reports.
- Respond to HR related questions via verbal and written communication. Assist in determining, creating, and affecting policy for SUNY Poly in regards to personnel transactions and overall policy for the campus. Assist with projects as assigned and may include automation and streamlining or internal controls.
- Oversee the flow of documents relevant to HR transactions and the audit process to ensure all files are maintained in a compliant and organized manner ensuring internal controls and processes are adhered to.
- Appropriately respond to and/or route inquiries from SUNY Poly staff in other business support areas. Responsible for completing performance programs and evaluations timely. Responsible for all campus performance management programs to include tracking, organizing, notifying supervisors of due dates, escalating due programs and evaluations to the VP for HR if not complete; notifying the VP for HR if any programs and evaluations are overdue and will impact appointment status.
- Other reasonable duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from a college or university accredited by US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization OR equivalent AND a minimum of one to three years of professionally responsible experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office and specifically Microsoft Excel; excellent oral and written communication skills.
