    The Sr.

    Controls Engineer is responsible for project requirements involving some of the latest technologies available with PLCs, robotics, Vison systems, safety integration and lasers.

    Engineering responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing the controls system (logic software and hardware) to meet machine and integrated system requirements.

    This team member develops and updates schematics detailing control system configuration, wiring and designing equipment panel layouts in AutoCAD software.


    Responsibilities:
    Develop, evaluate, improve, and document automation processes or processes that could benefit from automation
    Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures for automation used in a 24/7 manufacturing environment
    Analyze the automation processes and identify ways of enhancing the quality, cost, and throughput of those processes
    Work closely with production and quality departments to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees
    Provide technical support to production and reliability departments in multiple locations to trouble shoot and resolve various problems with equipment
    Support company philosophy, policies, procedures, goals, and objectives

    Requirements


    Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
    Ability to troubleshoot 24/120/240/480 VAC
    Hands-on experience programming Allen-Bradley SLC500, Control Logix systems, and Rockwell HMI systems
    Experience with motion control systems
    Knowledge of servo motor systems
    Ability to manage projects including timeline, costs and other deliverables.
    Proven experience with Computer Numerical Controllers (CNC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI)
    Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and Auto Cad
    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to effectively communicate throughout the organization
    Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems
    Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    Able to perceive needs and work independently
    Data driven problem solving approach including root cause analysis


    Required Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering


    Additional Requirements:
    Must be physically able to freely access all areas of the plant & grounds
    Must be able to travel as needed via most expeditious means
    Must have valid driver's license
    Ability to frequently bend & stoop and lift at least 50 pounds
