    This is a direct hire opportunity with a leading financial services client based in the Pittsburgh, PA area. The Technical Accounting Manager will ensure the Companys compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules and regulations, ensure a high level of quality in the Companys implementation and maintenance of reporting infrastructure and improve control environment surrounding global consolidations and assist with financial analysis to enhance financial reporting. Support preparation and review of financial reports and statements to be distributed to both external and internal constituencies.

    In this role you will work a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week in person with flexibility to allow for occasional fully remote work.

    FOCUS

    In this role, you will review major, most complex transactions, including acquisitions, mergers, dispositions, new products, and financing arrangements, among others, and determine appropriate U.S. GAAP treatment through the use of research tools and the application of the guidance.

    You will maintain a high level of technical proficiency in US GAAP, SEC Regulations, as well as relevant International Financial Reporting Standards.

    You will monitor technical accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting developments to ensure the organization maintains compliance with current and developing standards and regulations.

    You will participate in the determination of proper presentation and disclosures in various SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q and 8-K).

    PROFILE

    Bachelors degree in Accounting required

    Active CPA license required

    Minimum of 10+ years combined public accounting, technical accounting and external reporting experience at a publicly held company required; Experience in the financial services industry preferred

    In-depth technical knowledge of US GAAP, SEC rules and the ability to conduct complex research independently required

    Proficiency in Word, Excel and use of the Internet

    Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards preferred

    TOTAL REWARDS

    Pay Range: $125k-140k plus annual bonus

    Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors
