- Reviewing planning/engineering, work instructions, and tooling to ensure correct processes and quality standards are met before commencing tasks.
- Completing job order documentation and related paperwork accurately and promptly, including part counts and relevant information.
- Utilizing hand tools and small power tools to remove burrs safely, blend surfaces, and create edge breaks.
- Polishing and lapping surfaces to meet blueprint specifications.
- Finalizing product details through hand finishing.
- Interpreting blueprints to confirm that the configuration aligns with requirements.
- Using measuring tools like gauges, scales, and calipers.
- Performing routine cleaning and light maintenance on equipment.
- Collaborating with team members using Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies to drive operational enhancements that reduce waste, enhance safety, and elevate quality standards.
- Demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills within a team setting while engaging with diverse personalities and communication styles.
- Completing assigned tasks directed by Supervision/Management, which may include non-production plant and administrative duties.
- Demonstrated passion for our mission: Enabling millions of people to reside and work in space
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in deburring aerospace components.
- Proficiency in using pencil, orbital, and angle grinders.
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
- Appropriate selection of consumables and tools for different materials.
- Capability to provide feedback on Design for Manufacturing.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- Experience with hard metals (SS, Inconel, Monel).
- Proficient in using precision hand tools.
- Knowledgeable about personal computers.
- Adept at reading and interpreting documents such as work orders, drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Aptitude for mid-level mathematical operations with whole numbers, fractions, decimals (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Self-motivated and skilled at prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Physically capable of tasks like climbing ladders, working in restricted areas, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Availability for assigned shifts and overtime when required.
- Building trust, maintaining positive relationships, and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
- Must hold U.S. citizenship, be a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or have legal refugee/asylum status in the U.S.
- Experience in deburring nickel-based stainless-steel alloys, copper, titanium.
- Proficiency in operating heavy lifting equipment around flight critical hardware, like cranes and forklifts.
- Experience in deburring high-value components with tight tolerances.

This position is part of the Blue Origin Operations team, which encompasses Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security, providing support across all manufacturing and supply chain operations within Blue Origin facilities.
