- Conduct inspections at construction sites, interpreting plans, codes, and specifications.
- Secure designs and permits from utility companies.
- Monitor site safety.
- Document construction activities and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and testing activities.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Prepare inspection cost estimates and maintenance records.
- Supervise inspection resources.
- Attend relevant meetings.
- Perform other necessary duties.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering/construction, including 5 years in Track Work Inspection.
- Thorough knowledge of inspection methods and current construction techniques.
- Familiarity with light rail systems and construction materials.
- Cal-OSHA / OSHA 30-Hour safety certification.
- Strong interpersonal, adaptable, detail-oriented, achievement-oriented, and independent work traits.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments.
