Sterile Processing Technician 2, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician 2 to join our WMC Sterile Processing department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY.

This position is benefits eligible.

Hours per week:

Salary range:
$ $24.42 per hour, depending on experience.

Overview

Under general direction to decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize procedural instrumentation and patient medical devices. To maintain, document, and distribute clean and sterile products per established infection control standards. To provide for and account for medical/surgical supplies to clinical areas. To deliver services that are responsive, timely, and accurate. Perform training of all new staff. Act as a liaison between technicians, customers, and supervisor. Our customers are identified as physicians, clinical units, ancillary areas, clinics, and UHS affiliates.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:
Previous SPD or Operating Room experience

Inventory experience

License/Certification

Minimum Required:
Satisfactory completion of certification course through IAHCSMM or CBSPD
