- The Interventional Radiologist will be responsible for a variety of procedures, including but not limited to:
- Pre and post procedure preparation
- Image-guided procedures
- TACE
- TARE - Y90
- Microwave ablations
- Renal cryoablations
- Suprapubic catheter placement
- IVC placement
- Peripheral stenting
- Collaboration with the patient's care team, both within the IR department and across the medical center
- Oversight of quality and safety procedures
- Review and approve exam requests
- Ensure technical image quality meets standards
- Manage medication administration
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Image Interpretation and Consultation
- Interpret imaging exams and generate comprehensive reports
- Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers
- Participate in clinical conferences
- Patient Care
- Obtain clinical history and exam findings
- Educate and support patients
- Coordinate patient care effectively
- Stay updated with current practices in radiology
- Hold a Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent
- Valid license to practice medicine or surgery
- Completed residency training in a core specialty program
- Proficient in spoken and written English
- Board eligible/certified in radiology
- Minimum 2 years as Attending Radiologist with experience in advanced procedures
