    A Great Wolf,the SecurityManager organizes and oversees all securityoperations of our lodge. Security attendants will be under yourleadership while you develop and implement policies and proceduresto maintain security standards. The goal is to create and preservean environment where employees, visitors and property are safe andwellprotected.

    EssentialDuties &Responsibilities

    • Responsiblefor personnel related actions within the Security team including:hiring, orientation, training, coaching, feedback, discipline, andscheduling of employees
    • Oversees SecurityAwareness training and assists with Safety relatedtraining
    • Maintains knowledge of state Securitylaws, Fire codes and Penal Codes
    • Assists inorganizing, reviewing, updating and maintaining OSHA, emergencypreparedness, and fire & life safetyplans
    • Ensures access to the lodge is controlledaccording to security policy including after hours access andmonitoring; confronting any suspiciouspersons
    • Develops emergency response plans withassistance of outside agencies and ensures staff is trained onprotocol
    • Ensures guestroom doors are securedand assists with authorized room access
    • Assistsin moving/removing guest room possessions, inventory and securityof such and key rooms following resort policy andprocedures
    • Complies with guest requests forstoring and safekeeping of their valuables and followsprocedures
    • Responds to the scene ofguest/employee incidents promptly; assists Aquatics in accordanceto guidelines and complies with all departmental procedures;communicates specified information to EMS/medical personnel asrequired
    • Coordinates with Security staff toreport to, take charge of, and resolve guest or employee incidentsto include but are not limited to: fighting, intoxicated guests,vehicle towing and accidents, theft, and other safety or securityemergencies
    • Conducts investigations into theftor lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, and otherguest complaints and documents reports in accordance withdepartmental procedures while maintainingconfidentiality
    • Issues radios, keys todesignated hotel personnel, maintaining accurate records andensures the safekeeping of such in accordance to resortprocedures
    • Responsible for Loss PreventionProgram
    • Assists the coordination and leadershipof the SafetyCommittee

    BasicQualifications &Skills

    • High Schooleducation or equivalent
    • 5+ years in a positiondealing with general public
    • Ability to obtainnecessary licenses including, but not limited to; State securitylicense, CPR and First Aid certification, alcohol awarenesstraining
    • Ability to read and interpretEnglish-language documents such as safety rules, operating andmaintenance instructions, and proceduremanuals
    • Experience managing extensive closedcircuit television arrays; comfortable operating and monitoringactivities on-premises using CCTV systems, access control systems,and alarm systems
    • Willingness to work evenings,weekends, and Holidays depending on businessdemands
    • Successful completions of a criminalbackground check and drug screen
    • Clean drivingrecord
