    Job Description
    The construction estimator should estimate overall costs of a renovation or new construction project including materials and labor. The estimator shall also track project costs and work with finance to reconcile budgets with costs. Additional duties as follows:
    • Analyze construction documents and identify materials needed for project in an effort to estimate cost of renovation or construction,
    • Develop project budget based on materials and labor, understanding how production of materials impacts time.
    • Tracking job costs of construction projects by forecasting costs and reconciling actual costs provided by finance from vendor invoices
    • Evaluate change orders and pay applications for projects against job cost and ensure accuracy.
    • Working with stakeholders to further refine project budget and duration.
    • Provide monthly job cost reports on all construction projects to VP Facilities Management.
    • Interacts with clients, architects, engineers, local AHJ to understand and incorporate projects costs and objectives.
    Work Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly
    Qualifications/Training:
    Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis and familiarity with spreadsheets and other analytics tools. Proficient at reading and interpreting construction documents ("blueprints"). 5 years or more of experience estimating commercial construction projects. Individual must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills. Must maintain professionalism when faced with aggressive deadlines.
    Education:
    Bachelor's degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics, construction management or other related field preferred.
