- Performs low observable/structural repairs and maintains aircraft.
- Performs aircraft inspections/assessments to include, as appropriate, preflight, basic postflight, thruflight, phase, isochronal, and special inspections and home station checks for the assigned aircraft surface structure and outer mold line surface coating materials. Performs aircraft acceptance inspections/services.
- Prepares various surfaces of interior and exterior aircraft sheet metal and composite structures by mechanically and chemically removing old paint and rust, filling cracks, sanding, and applying fillers and base coats.
- Performs removal/installation of parts and components and locally manufacture lines, tubes, and other components/parts as required. Utilizes safety practices and procedures following established safety and security (special access required) rules, environmental requirements regulations, and maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Uses and maintains tools. Certifies work produced under the United States Air Force Technical Order Program or other applicable directives.
