Respiratory Therapist Position

We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist who is a NBRC credentialed professional to deliver respiratory care to patients at different locations following AdaptHealth's guidelines. The role will involve preventive, rehabilitative, and palliative care. The Respiratory Therapist will leverage available resources within the agency and community to meet care goals.

Job Duties:

Complete all documentation and charting procedures accurately
Review and update Plans of Treatments and Care Plans
Document procedures and patient feedback
Assist with CPAP/BiPAP referrals
Demonstrate expertise in respiratory equipment
Troubleshoot equipment effectively
Manage CPAP/BiPAP supplies
Conduct clinical assessments and provide recommendations
Participate in discharge planning
Provide in-services on equipment and clinical issues
Follow up with physicians and referrals
Adhere to safety procedures and protocols
Participate in on-call duties
Maintain patient confidentiality
Perform other assigned duties

Competency, Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in PAP, Ventilator, Airway Clearance, and Oxygen therapy
Ability to assess patients and make recommendations
Skilled in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills
Great customer service skills
Ability to prioritize tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Requirements:

Associates degree from an AMA approved respiratory program
Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license
CPR certification
Minimum one year of clinical experience
Valid driver's license
