    Job Title: Project Manager for Data Projects

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee data projects for an underwriter of specialty insurance products in the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering data-driven initiatives that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in insurance, preferably P&C insurance, along with exceptional project management and data analysis skills.

    Responsibilities:

    • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
    • Project Execution: Lead cross-functional teams to execute projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, monitoring progress, and proactively addressing any issues or risks that may arise.
    • Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform strategic decision-making and improve business processes within the P&C insurance domain.
    • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders, data engineers, IT teams, and external vendors, to gather requirements, manage expectations, and ensure successful project outcomes.
    • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and ensure the successful delivery of data projects.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
    • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project status reports, documentation, and presentations for various stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on project progress, milestones, and outcomes.
    • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating project results, identifying areas for optimization, and implementing best practices to enhance project delivery and data management processes.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science) or equivalent work experience.
    • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably within the P&C insurance industry, overseeing data-driven projects.
    • Strong understanding of P&C insurance concepts, processes, and industry-specific data requirements.
    • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage project plans, allocate resources, and track project progress.
    • Background and understanding in data analysis tools and techniques, with the ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
    • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
    • Understanding of Cloud (AWS) Data technologies a big plus.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
    • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus.
