    Director of Workforce Pathways

    Salary: 60,000-70,000/yr


    • Position Purpose.


    Under the guidance and direction of the Dean of Workforce Development and the Executive Vice President, the Director of Workforce Hospitality and Tourism Pathways will assist in the management of several Hospitality and Workforce programs as they contribute to the College Credit Plus and Tech Prep missions of Hocking College.

    In addition to these duties, the Director will lead and maintain academic advising activities for on-campus CCP students taking courses within the School of Workforce Development.


    • Duties and Responsibilities.
    • Assist with the management of the College's Concurrent Enrollment Program (College Credit Plus) with special attention paid to the Hospitality and Education programs within the School of Workforce Development.
    • Apply research-based methods for competency-based education where applicable.
    • Monitor trends and advancements in hospitality and education practices, incorporating innovative assessment techniques.
    • Coordinate Hocking College courses offered on partner high school and career center campuses.
    • Evaluate and assess Hospitality and Education programs.
    • Maintain concurrent enrollment student records.
    • Ensure the College and partner schools are adhering to Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Department of Higher Education regulations and compliance.
    • Coordinate data reporting efforts on behalf of the College with IT staff, the Office of Workforce Development, the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Workforce Development, and the Registrar.
    • Collaborate with post-secondary and secondary partners to develop and implement new Career Pathways.
    • Identify new CCP partners for academic programs within the School of Workforce Development with emphasis on Education and Hospitality.
    • Attend state-wide Concurrent Enrollment meetings.
    • Coordinate and/or attend CCP Professional Development Workshops for CCP instructors.
    • Coordinate and/or attend CCP, Hospitality and Education information nights, advising workshops, and classroom observations.
    • Assist with advising services to CCP students- (hospitality, education and other workforce programs) who are engaging in on-campus courses at Hocking College.
    • Serve as the institutional liaison to all state-wide College Credit Plus functions.
    • Assist in maintaining CCP Accreditation thru NACEP.
    • Additional duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Hospitality, or equivalent field, Master's Degree Preferred. A strong preference for a background in both Education and Hospitality.
    • Expertise in competency-based methods.
    • Three years of recent experience in higher education or secondary education.
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
    • Strong technology skills including usage of Microsoft Office, email, student information system, and learning management system.
    • Organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of subject area.
    • Knowledge of educational theory and application.
    • Knowledge of learners and individual learning styles.
    • Interest in and commitment to the learner-centered educational process.
