- Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial retail development projects in New Jersey.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures as needed to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and relevant building codes and regulations.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, and coordinate deliveries to the construction site.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality, safety, and workmanship standards.
- Implement and enforce site safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and as-built drawings.
- Manage subcontractor performance, resolve disputes, and address any issues that may arise during construction.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in ground-up commercial retail development projects in New Jersey.
- Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and best practices.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in New Jersey.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore and MS Office suite.
- Experience in strong civil construction for demo and excavation of land required.
- Experience in civil land development projects preferred.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
