- Check-in patients on computer system and administer appropriate anesthetics
- Perform catheterization and dental procedures as necessary
- Monitor vital signs of patients and prepare medications for discharge
- Conduct post-operative care explanations to pet owners
- Assist with various veterinarian tasks and ensure cleanliness of the surgical department
- Maintain accurate medical records and administer prescribed treatments
- Handle routine procedures such as nail trims, sutures removal, and more
- Prior experience in animal handling and veterinary assistance (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and remain composed during emergencies
- Proficiency in medical terminology and effective communication skills
- Capability to handle animals of all sizes and maintain a positive work relationship
- Physical ability to lift weight, stand for extended periods, and work under stressful conditions
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy weights, and handle large dogs
- Willingness to perform duties that involve bending, lifting, and potential exposure to allergens
