    Duties


    • You will implement and administer the Special Access Program (SAP) Information Security Program.
    • You will serve as Security professional for the protection of SAP resources and Technologies.
    • You will research, interpret, analyze, and apply security guidelines from various sources for local application.
    • You will develop and implement security plans and procedures for personnel and facilities that support advanced or special access program material.
    • You will provide training for personnel formally indoctrinated into SAP programs.
    • You will perform security investigations for incidents involving the actual or possible loss, compromise or inadvertent disclosure of classified information.
    • You will conduct inspections for assigned locations as well as contractor locations.
    • You will maintain security oversight of special access programs.
    • You will plan, organize, coordinate, direct and advise on procedures and reports for the initiation, review, evaluation, and recording of personnel security investigations.
    • You will interface with internal and external contacts to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise

    • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
    You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


    • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required

    Qualifications For the GS -11 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
    Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying security concepts, principles and practices to administer a security program and resolve security issues
    Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Implementing security procedures for the protection of classified and sensitive unclassified information; 2) Utilizing knowledge of personnel security, physical security, information security and industrial security policies and procedures; 3) Conducting physical security surveys and vulnerability assessments to identify deficiencies within assigned program; 4) Interpreting and applying agency guidelines, regulations, and policies; and 5) Applying working knowledge of a variety of standard and state-of-the-art security equipment, systems, and devices to recommend appropriate protective methods and security procedures
