    Location: Miami or West Palm Beach

    Position: CEI Inspector (Senior)

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform field inspection assignments and coordinate and supervise lower level inspectors.
    • Conducts quality control material testing analysis and reporting.
    • Conducts punch list identification and contract closeout review.
    • Serves as an advisor and mentor to junior level project team members.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of four years of experience in construction inspection, two years of which shall have been in bridge or roadway construction inspection. One year of experience required if holding a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

    EDUCATION:

    • High School diploma or equivalent. Must also currently have or be willing to obtain the additional required certifications listed below, as a minimum, within twelve months of hire:

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT's) Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP)

    • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
    • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
    • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
    • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
    • CTQP Final Estimates Level I

    CERTIFICATIONS:

    • International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Traffic Signal Technician Level I
    • FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)
    • Nuclear Radiation Safety

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Valid Driver's License.
    • Ability to read engineering drawings and system maps.
    • Ability to understand and follow contractor schedules.
    • Ability to carry 40 pounds (testing equipment).
    • Ability to stand and sit as needed on project work sites, climb ladders, work at heights, and work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions, periodic weekend and night work may be required.
    • Ability to safely navigate construction work sites with uneven terrain.
    • Ability to coordinate and supervise lower level inspectors in an efficient manner
