Who we are looking for:
We are currently searching for a Blending Material Handler to be based out of Fort Mill, SC.
Reporting to the Blending lead, this person's primary focus will be responsible for the blending of raw materials into PVC compound based on specified formulasWhat you'll do:
Accurately estimate compound needs in order to support Extrusion department while determining to which silos or hoppers to route material for efficient productionOrganize and separate scrap materialOperate ForkliftKeep warehouse clean and organizedMonitor and assist with operating blending machineryReading and interpreting the production schedule in order to evaluate upcoming compound blending and storage requirementsother assigned dutiesWhat you'll bring:Minimum educational requirement is high school diploma, or equivalentExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsGood understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculationsAttention to detail, accuracy, time management, and organizationMust be adaptable to changes in the work environment, comfortable with multiple competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events in a calm and logical mannerMust be able to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced work environmentAble to lift 50 pounds unassistedAll associates must embrace and foster and environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork and Accountability
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete any required trainingHave developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
Be well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
