A prominent custom metal fabrication company that is located west of Milwaukee is looking for a Manufacturing Metal Fabrication Engineer to help develop engineering masters for the production of new products and nesting laser components using Radan software.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sheet metal fabrication engineering in a job shop environment, with working knowledge of fabrication methods to include welding, press brake forming, laser cutting, machining and assembly.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and oversee the production of new or improved products, components, processes, and systems
Develop manufacturing processes that are efficient, cost-effective, and safe, while meeting quality standards
Identify and solve problems in existing products, processes, and systems
Specify raw materials, production equipment, and process requirements
Prepare cost estimates for new products.
Investigate customer complaints and take corrective action
Train workers in new or revised methods and procedures
Review proposals for new products, services, or processes
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 3 years experience in a fabrication engineering role
Experience with CAD software programs, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks or similar
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including laser, welding, forming, etc.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Excellent project management skills
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Familiarity with the MRP systems Visual Manufacturing or similar.
