The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking qualified candidates to fill two hourly Research Technician position at the neuroscience laboratory at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The chosen candidates will conduct psychiatric research at the NYS Center of Excellence for Cultural Competence, working closely with the laboratory team, assisting with experiments, collecting and analyzing data, preparing progress reports and preparing manuscripts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze data using statistical software and assist with manuscript preparation.
• Keep accurate records of experiments, data, and procedures
• Communicate with team members and collaborators, including presenting results at meetings and conferences

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, data science, mechanical engineering or a related field, OR
• Three years of relevant experience in data analysis including statistical software such as R or Python may substitute for above

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior research experience in a neuroscience laboratory is preferred
