    Description

    The primary purpose of this position is to provide quality service to current and potential Credit Union members. This is accomplished by serving as a liaison between the member and the credit union; providing information to current as well as prospective members on membership eligibility, account types, loan products and any other services the Credit Union offers. Other duties include daily supervision of branch staff while ensuring effective operational practices; assisting staff with decision making, researching balancing discrepancies completing end of month reports, and evaluating tellers' performance. Provides support to the employees by coaching, training, and assisting with complex transactions and inquiries.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Responsible for day-to-day operations of the Branch which include but are not limited to: leading and directing the work of others; communicating job expectations; interpreting policies and solving problems related to policy and procedural issues for staff and members; motivating employees with verbal, written and informal recognition; assisting the manager with departmental projects, scheduling, and reporting; handling escalated member issues and researching issues; and opening/closing branch as needed
    • Processes members' financial transactions to include resolving problems, answering questions regarding all of BayPort Credit Union's products and services, opening new accounts for members to include but not limited to: shares, loans, IRA's, and certificates.
    • Resolves problems with members' accounts, interviews loan applicants, processes loan requests, and responds to members' requests in a timely, professional manner and performing other duties as requested.
    • Cultivates and maintains solid member relationships through service excellence, identifying and anticipating member needs and making product recommendations.
    • Coaches staff on service excellence, referrals and branch goals; Conducts Sales Meetings; Leads by example.
    • Assists in control of the vault as needed. Responsible for currency received/disbursed and handling of teller requests as needed. Responsible for the security of negotiable and non-negotiable instruments.
    Required Qualifications:
    • High School education or equivalent
    • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience within a financial institution
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred
    • Acceptable credit rating and criminal background check
    • NMLS Certification within 30 days of hire
