Job Description and Duties
This position is in the Centralized Staffing Office (CSO) at Porterville Developmental Center. Days off and shift to be determined. Responsible for managing and supervising the CSO in terms of Facility Wide Staffing Coordination and Supervision of Senior Psychiatric Technicians. Acts as a liaison between Clinical Programs, Central Program Services, and other Assigned Service Areas. Provides consultive services in management and supportive services. Assists with hiring activities and ensures necessary training for CSO staff. Supports and provides consultive services to Governing Body on Overtime and service delivery. Responsibility is 24 hours per day.
This position is in person only, not eligible for telework.
Working Conditions
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Ongoing interaction with clients, personnel, and the general public. Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment. Essential knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, endurance, and sensory ability to perform duties. Position requires prolonged sitting, extensive use of modern office equipment, including telephones, computers, and fax machines.
