    Description

    Must Haves:

    • 2+ years of experience within human resources - knowledge of basic human resources principles and procedures
    • Experience with personnel and payroll record and documentation.
    • Customer facing experience presenting to internal staff or external customers.
    • Driven and eager personality – someone who is eager to learn and be hands on.
    • Bachelor's degree.

    Day to Day:

    • Responsible for performing technical personnel activities in support of the HR administration
    • Assists in recruitment and examination planning and activities; prepares job announcement bulletins and brochures; writes and places advertisements; reviews applications for completeness and to determine if applicants meet minimum qualification requirements; serves as chief proctor for a variety of employment tests; conducts interviews; arranges for oral interview panels and chairs qualification appraisal panels; responds to applicant inquiries concerning qualification requirements and selection procedures; and interviews candidates.
    • May conduct classification studies of single positions and/or assist higher level analysts as a team member on larger classification studies; collects from, and/or provides, data relating to salaries, benefits, organizational structure, etc.; compiles and assembles data into appropriate format; and makes comparisons between County job specifications and those of other agencies
    • Prepares and coordinates proposed annual resolutions and Salary Resolution Amendments.
    • Assists in the coordination, development, and implementation of training and safety programs; maintains records, enters data, and answers questions from employees, supervisors, and other County staff.

    Compensation:

    $30/hr to $37/hr.

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
