    Seeking Per Diem Hand Therapist to work with varied types of hand patients including acute post operative visits, splinting, along with fractures, and non surgical patients. Part of research based team, covering clinic, department, and various interdisciplinary requests.Excellent highly skilled team of CHT's.Tremendous opportunity for growth and being a consistent part of a highly regarded team.

    Occupational Hand Therapists provide services to patients with upper quarter impairments, functional limitations, disabilities or changes in function and health status resulting form injury, disease, or other causes. The Staff Occupational Therapist performs evaluations and treatment based on data gathered from their examination. They synthesize findings from history, system review, tests and measures to establish a professional opinion, prognosis, and plan of care. The complexity of their evaluation includes the clinical findings, the extent of loss of function, social considerations and overall physical function and health status.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy required.
    • Masters Entry Level, or Advanced Masters in OccupationalTherapy encouraged.
    • Certification of Hand Therapy received after five years of practice.
    • Current License in the State of Massachusetts as an OT or application for the same required and maintained.
    • Current CHT certification required.
    • Current CPR certification required and maintained.
    • AOTA/ASHT membership preferred
    • AOTA National Board Licensing
    • Acute Hospital experience is preferred.
